How a Collection Agency New York Could Hinder the Ghostbusters

By Rob Sutter

When something is strange in the neighborhood, you better believe that the Ghostbusters can be hired. They were tasked with the collection of phantoms that plague New York City. These men worked with many people in order to purge buildings and homes alike of any supernatural beings. However, as I watched these old movies again, I couldn't help just how much they would have raised the ire of a collection agency New York.

It seemed like the Ghostbusters had their first true job when taking a ghost out of the Sedgewick Hotel. The job belonged to Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, and Ray Stantz and the three men were ready to face off against the hungry ghost referred to as Slimer. The damages done were plentiful and that doesn't even begin to describe the result of the dining room brawl. Proton Packs were fired and not a single chair in the room was spared. Even though belongings were destroyed and the hotel owner was less than pleased with said damages, the Ghostbusters were compensated still.

These are the kinds of damages that I believe a collection agency New York would certainly target the Ghostbusters for. These men have certainly caused a bit of destruction, albeit inadvertently, while apprehending ghosts. Even if their intentions are good, I don't believe that many people would easily be able to shrug several dollars of damages away. Collection companies the likes of Rapid Recovery would certainly have an interesting case on their hands.

It's not like the Ghostbusters would have much support on the matter, either. Those who support the business would most likely be the more common people of New York City who may not have a great voice. Walter Peck, a lawyer working with the Environmental Protection Agency, has substantially more say in society and he would be the one to blast the Ghostbusters negatively for the damages they've caused. This would only worsen the issue of debt on the Ghostbusters' half.

The Ghostbusters are not ignorant people, most of them being highly educated, so I'm sure that they knew what was going to happen in this line of work. They knew the risks especially when they made the choice to utilize technology that was probably not green-lighted by law. The Ghostbusters helped many people purge their establishments of ill-tempered aberrations but the ghost hunting caused many damages. The Ghostbusters can fight those strange ghosts with confidence but in a situation where debt is involved, they may just be in trouble.
